GeoTek Cybersecurity Incident Settlement

Superior Court of San Diego County, California
Borron, et al. v. GeoTek, Inc., Case No. 25CU002241C

Welcome to the GeoTek Cybersecurity Incident Settlement Website

A proposed Settlement has been reached with GeoTek, Inc. ("GeoTek" or "Defendant") in a class action lawsuit concerning the targeted cyberattack on GeoTek's computer systems that occurred in September 2023 (the "Cybersecurity Incident"). Certain files containing private information were accessed and may have contained personal information such as names, addresses, and Social Security Numbers. GeoTek denies that it did anything wrong, and the Court has not decided who is right. The parties agreed to the proposed Settlement to avoid the costs, risks, disruptions, and uncertainties of continuing the Litigation.

You may be a Class Member if you are a current or former GeoTek employee who resides in the United States and whose information was impacted by the Cybersecurity Incident. Your rights may be affected whether you act or do nothing. Review the Long Form Notice for complete information about the proposed Settlement and your rights.

Object to the Settlement and/or Attend a Hearing

If you do not opt out of the Settlement, you may object to it by writing to the Court about why you don’t like the Settlement. These rights and options are explained in the Long Form Notice and on the FAQs page.
